The Good Child Development Center’s Emerald City 55th Anniversary Gala is a special Wizard of Oz themed fundraising event. We’re a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that counts on community support to grow.

All proceeds will benefit GCDC and its efforts to improve the center by providing continual updates and tuition assistance to ensure that children from infancy to preschool can flourish and become their best selves.

Our Success Stories

Camryn Success Story

Camryn first came to Good Child as an infant and has just graduated from the preschool program. His parents recognize that our center is so much more than a daycare or pre-K, it is truly a community and family. The teachers are kind, caring, and foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that spans across the entire building, not just individual classrooms. His mother and father say they have seen and felt the genuine love our staff has towards the kids. They go above and beyond to understand and know the children individually, to inspire curious learning and build confidence. Many times they have said ‘wow’ because of the extra mile they go on a regular basis. You see this influence within the children and how they have developed positive relationships both with the staff and their peers. Their son is well prepared for Kindergarten, with a solid foundation and love of learning.

Mala’Khi Success Story

This is Mala’Khi, 6 years old. At only 18 months, medical professionals told his family he had developmental delays and would never communicate effectively. His mother, Jessica, although devastated, decided to take action and find an institution that would aid her son’s needs and allow him to grow at his own pace. When first enrolled, Mala’Khi was unable to speak and presented challenging behaviors towards caregivers. Today, thanks to the unwavering support provided by Good Child’s teachers and staff, he has moved up to Kindergarten with his peers. Mala’Khi speaks clearly, is kind to classmates and educators alike, and is passionate about music. He is the living proof that our individualized care allows children to develop into their best selves.

Raffle / Auction Options

RAFFLE INFORMATION

  • Items should be desirable and at least $50 in value;
  • Raffles will be sold for $10 each to the general public, and not limited to Gala attendees;
  • If your business’ products/services are not giftable due to price point, and you still wish to contribute, you can purchase an item to donate in your name;
  • Perishable items need to be packaged appropriately to avoid deterioration (please avoid items that need to be refrigerated);
  • All Products or Gift Cards should include any instructions or restrictions;
  • Items should be ready for pickup no later than October 10th 2024;
  • Prize draw will take place during the Gala wrap up ceremony.

AUCTION INFORMATION

  • Items should be desirable and at least $100 in value;
  • Products or Gift Cards will be displayed at the auction table during the Gala;
  • Attendees will have 3 hours to place their bids on each item’s bid sheet;
  • Perishable items need to be packaged appropriately to avoid deterioration (please avoid items that need to be refrigerated);
  • All Products or Gift Cards should include any instructions or restrictions;
  • Items should be ready for pickup no later than October 10th 2024;
  • Items will be gifted to the highest bidder during the Gala wrap up.
