Welcome to

Celebrating Uniqueness

501(c)3 Non-Profit Childcare Center in Orange, CT

Inspired by behavioral analysis, our center offers individualized care for all children in an intimate and therapeutic setting.

What We Offer

Safety and Security

Our center is equipped with a complete security system, including cameras in every classroom, common area and entrance. Cameras can be accessed by our administrative body to review any incidents and maintain vigilance of operations.

Health and Wellness

We receive weekly visits from a nurse consultant, who tracks the children’s health and well-being. They are responsible for maintaining care plans for kids who require them, and communicating with pediatricians about immunization and illness.

Our teachers are First Aid and CPR certified, and can offer emergency support if needed.

Nutritious Meals

We offer three daily meals (breakfast, lunch and snack) to all children in our care. A chef freshly prepares them in our professional grade kitchen and distributes them to classrooms.

Our menu is compliant with OEC requirements and offers a variety of carbs, proteins, vegetables and fruit. Families receive weekly menus to stay updated on their children’s diet.

The menu is adaptable for children with allergies, intolerances or religious restrictions.

Meals are served family style and encourage children to use table manners and engage with each other.

Communication with Families

Our center uses the Procare platform to maintain an open line of communication with families.

The platform tracks every child in the building for attendance and security. Their families check children in and out upon arriving and exiting.

It also allows teachers to keep families updated on their child’s activities, meal intake, potty/diapering and occasional incidents.

Education and Curriculum

Our play to learn philosophy is compliant with OEC’s standards and offers a complete age-appropriate curriculum that is equally fun and educating.

Our methodology focuses on individualized lessons, mindful of each child’s needs, as well as group activities and child-led practices.

An Educational Consultant visits our center periodically to support teachers, address lesson planning and track student progress.

Testimonials

Nick Carrano

My 3.5 y.o. son has been attending since April, and it’s been a wonderful experience. Couldn’t recommend them enough! He is a very shy boy, and his teachers, Ms. Alyssa and Ms. Rebecca, are helping him open up more. When he was first enrolled, he mostly kept to himself, played alone, and had a hard time connecting with other staff and kids. Now 6 months later, he has established friendships, is always telling stories, and is even practicing speaking in Portuguese! My wife and I are delighted to see his growth, and we’re sure being at GCTC has helped our child flourish.

My son Landon is enrolled at Good Child Transitional Center, and we could not be happier. I was nervous about enrolling him in daycare, as he had been home with me for his first year and a half. After enrolling him, he has grown in leaps and bounds. The staff is wonderful and very caring. They keep me updated on everything he does throughout the day. They’ve assisted in working to get him potty trained. They do crafts, educational games and outside activities. I highly recommend the center and all the staff there.

We really love this place! My son was home for his first 2 years and around majority adults. We knew that for his development, it was time to expose him to children his age and be in a school setting. GCTC was one of the best decisions we could’ve made. My son transitioned so well! He’s been there since the beginning of July, and now in September we genuinely see such a huge growth in development. He really looks forward to going to school everyday and loves his teachers (Ms. Dani, Ms. Ally, and Ms. Cristina or as my son calls her Ms. Stina). The teachers are phenomenal, and the staff are as well! Ms. Joann is a great director over the building. I’d recommend this place to anyone. I also love the exclusion of the location from the main road.
